WHO WE ARE
CrossPoint is part of a wider church family known as the Church of the Nazarene, of which we are part of the Intermountain District.
The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, organized in 1908. The denomination is now home to about 2.5 million members worshipping in more than 30,000 congregations in 165 world areas.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in the Trinity -
one God, the Creator of all things - who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ
is uniquely the Son of God and fully human; who became like us to bring us salvation through His life, death on the cross, and resurrection.
We believe that the Holy Spirit
is active in the world, bringing us to salvation and guiding us with God's presence.
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures
are inspired by God and contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
We believe that all humans
are sinners in nature and action, and all need God's forgiveness and cleansing.
We believe that God
is constantly reaching out to us to enable us to turn to Himself from sin, but that He does not force our actions.
We believe that, through God's grace,
we are able to repent, turn to God, and be welcomed into the family of God.
We believe that we
are able to be continually sanctified and increasingly filled with God's Spirit.
We believe that the Church
is the Body of Christ tasked with carrying out God's mission through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's supper
as a means of grace, where we uniquely experience God's grace, love, and redemption in baptism and Communion (Holy Eucharist).
We believe that God can heal SUPERNATURALLY,
and we pray for healing. We also believe that God heals through medical science.
